ERC activities break down into the following:

Keynote speaker lunches

These are regular bi-monthly lunches at which a specialist keynote speaker presents on a subject of topical importance followed by a discussion. Please click here for a list of recent and upcoming events

Conferences

ERC holds an annual conference. Papers are presented by speakers from the railways industry and national Governments, as well as from the European Commission, the European Parliament and other European Community institutions. ERC's last conference covered environmental and cross border rail issues.

Conferences represent an opportunity for EU institutions, national Governments, companies and trade associations to engage in a dialogue in order to increase the understanding of a number of selected issues with respect to the railways industry. Conferences include panel discussions where different views of the presenters are represented, and open discussion between presenters and participants.

Workshop sessions

Workshops are a members only event where a limited group of specialist participants exchange views and experiences on a theme of common interest with community institutions, governmental and other experts.
